Author Visits & Storytime
Emer has done numerous Author Visits in Libraries, Schools and at Corporate Family Fun Days throughout the country. In fact, she has done Storytimes in NYC and Lanzarote too! There are a number of options in terms of an Author Visit including Writing Workshops, Storytimes and Q&A Sessions. The ideal audience would be 4 – 8 years.
The Writing Workshops and Q&A Sessions can be tailored to the age group of the children participating. It is a really great experience for both the author and the children alike. In terms of a Vroom-Town Storytime, there are a couple of options. Just to note, each of the Vroom-Town books are jam-packed full of adventure and introduces lots of lovely, endearing characters – and a couple of naughty ones!
Storytime Options:
A Vroom-Town Storytime & Maze Fun
There are two sections to this event…
Firstly the actual reading of a Vroom-Town book. For additional engagement with the children, some large character cut-outs are brought along – the children love to see the visuals and get immersed in the story. After the reading there is a fun mini Q&A!
The second part is Maze Fun where the children have the opportunity to complete six large A3 sized Vroom-Town Mazes! Always a crowd pleaser!
Ideal for 4-7 year olds. Comfortable with 40-50 children
Duration: approx 45mins – 1hr (depending on level of engagement).
A Vroom-Town Storytime with Giant Jigsaws & Colouring Station.
This event includes the Storytime as outlined above, followed by the children being invited to make two large format jigsaws of two of the Vroom-Town characters.
The group is split into two: the ‘jigsaw making’ and the ‘colouring station’
Excellent fun for all involved!
